A worker was swallowed by the engine as it went in front of a parked plane at the airport. He was crushed to death. This terrible incident happened at the Montgomery Regional Airport in Alabama, USA.
According to a report by the New York Post, a plane from Dallas landed at Montgomery Airport on December 31 at around 3 pm local time. The aircraft was taken to park. A worker approached the parked aircraft to check if everything was in order. But one engine of the plane was still running. And that engine pulls the worker inside.
According to National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) sources, the deceased employee belongs to Piedmont Airlines. The airline has expressed regret over the incident. Airport Executive Director Wade Davis said, “We are with the family of the worker during this difficult time. All possible support will be extended to the family of the worker.” NCSB and the Aviation Administration are investigating how the incident happened.
One such incident happened at Mumbai airport. The incident happened in 2015. The passenger plane named AI 619 was standing in the parking bay at the Mumbai airport. The flight was traveling from Mumbai to Hyderabad. Various tests were going on before the flight. A ground staff of Air India suddenly got into the moving engine due to strong wind. The airman died on the spot.
